WHO:
Jon Bekken is a member of the editorial collective of the
Anarcho-Syndicalist Review, and former editor of the IWW's newspaper, the
Industrial Worker. He has hosted a community radio station, been
published in anarchist and syndicalist papers around the world, and
written for scholarly journals on the history of the anarchist and labor
press. He is co-author of The Industrial Workers of the World: Its First
100 Years.
Dan will speak on the importance for anarchists of moving into new-medias
with 21st century technologies. Reflecting on his UK experiences working
on "Freedom" and the Anarchist Federation's publications "Organise" and
"Resistance." As well as the (UK) Haringey Solidarity group's newspaper
"Totally Indypendant" and the Dancing Cat Anarchist Collective's
newspaper "The Insubordinate." Dan is a member of the D.C. Dancing Cat
Anarchist Collective.
